Here we have the first Photo Contest organized by Fixe Climbing. It is free and open to everbody. There is time until the 31st of August! Read the following bases to participate...

PARTICIPANTS

Everybody. Who participates in the contest accepts the bases. The inscription is free.

TOPIC

FIXE. The pictures have to show, somehow, the name or the logo of the company. Each picture can be presented in only one category, and this has to be properly indicated. If we receive picture without any indicated category, this will be decided by the jury depending on their evaluation. Digital arranges of the pictures are accepted only if they do not change the base of the picture. The photographic base of the picture must be recognizable. The digital arrangements won’t give the picture any extra value.

FORMAT

Digital format. The pictures will be sent in a support like CD, pen drive or similar. They will be in a size approximately of 30 x 45cm, 300 dots per inch and TIF or JPG of high quality format. The title of the pictures must be the same that the file and the category of the pictures will be expressed in a clear and visible way.

Paper format. The images will be sent in a paper format, maximum size 30 x 40cm. The pictures should come with a rigid support (like carton) so they can be preserved in better conditions. Beside every pictures there will be the name of the category and the pseudonym of the author.

A maximum of three pictures per author will be accepted.

SENDING

The support with the pictures must be sent before the 31st of August 2008, free of charges and well protected at:: Fixe Climbing SL, Ap. 11, 08580 Sant Quirze de Besora, Barcelona, Spain. Inside the envelop will be:

- The support, well identified with the pseudonym of the author and the title of the pictures.

- Another closed envelop, also identified with the pseudonym. Inside this one will be the real dates of the photographer and a way of getting in contact.

JURY

The jury will be formed by a technical commission with photo and mountain sports knowledge.

All the sent pictures that agree with all the criteria will be accepted. The pictures cannot be disqualified unless unanimity of the jury. The pictures will be selected with professional, esthetic and objective criteria of the jury, and the whole jury must agree with the winner pictures. Jury deliberations are unappealable, so any reclamation won’t be accepted.

VEREDICT

The deliberation of the jury will be unappealable and will take place the 10th of September 2008. The winners will be contacted from the day after the deliberation and in the dates given in the envelop. The name of the winners will be announced on Fixe web page.

DEVOLUTION AND RIGHTS

The winning photos will be property of the company. The company can use the winning pictures whenever they want, to spread the contest or for the use that the company decides. The author will have to be always indicated. The non-winning pictures will be returned to the authors, if them ask to do so in a 3 months maximum period after the verdict. The pictures will be sent with exactly the same package that arrived originally, by messenger and not free of charge. If nobody claims for a picture in this period of time, the photo will become property of the company. Who will be able to use it under the same conditions that the winner.

DATES

According with the Spanish Law 15/1999, all the dates proportionate during this contest to Fixe Climbing SL will be included on the database of the contest, which responsible is the same company. Hey will be treated under strict confidentiality and only with the finality of taking care of the contest. The company accepts to:

- Do not bring the dates out of company computers.

- Do not sell or give the dates of the participants.

- Do not give the dates to a third person or company.

NOTES

The organization agrees to take care as well as possible of the pictures. However, it is not responsible for any accident or damage that could occur to the photos. Fixe Climbing SL won’t assume any responsibility in case of postal negligence or any other causes away from the control of the company. The organization has the faculty to solve any doubt or problem not contemplated on these bases.

PREMIS

The organization will announce the verdict of the jury the 15th of September of 2008 and will get in contact with the winners. Once chosen the prizes, the products will be sent at the proportionate address.

Other Mountain Sports category:

- A harness (to chose from the catalog)

- 2 ascenders –right and left.

- 2 pedals for jumar.

- 5 security biners (to chose from the catalog)

- 10 slings (to chose from the catalog)

- 1 complement (to chose from the catalog)
