Nam Hee Do founded the Butora climbing shoe company in 2014. He had over 20 years of industry experience behind him manufacturing and designing climbing shoes. Butora is noted for the quality of the materials and design, maintaining excellence despite the costs, without bowing to profit margins.
The first Butora model to see the light was the Endeavor, the same year the company was founded. The South Korean climbing community was the first to try this shoe, and it was very well-received. In 2015 came the Acros, one of Butora’s top models. With good reason, as just a year after its release, Rock & Ice magazine named the Acro ‘The Best New Climbing Shoe of 2016’.
Today, Butora has a wide range of climbing shoes suitable for any climbing discipline and any climber. The catalogue includes a lace-up, a retro design for trad climbing, one for beginners and children, and a climbing shoe design exclusively for rental in climbing gyms. All without forgetting the more technical range for the most demanding climbers.
Fixe distributes the entire Butora range in Europe.
