New Multi Chain and Little Chain
Two essential HMPE anchor tether rings, discover the new Little Chain and Multi Chain.
The design of personal anchor tethers has evolved substantially in very few years and those composed of rings are now the favourites of climbers and mountaineers in general.
The great advantage of the Little Chain and Multi Chain personal anchor tether is to offer the possibility of anchoring at different distances without compromising the total strength of the personal anchor tether. The individual resistance of each ring is 22 kN, the same as that of the webbing as a whole.
Their versatility allows them to be used in multiple mountain activities, such as multi-pitch climbing or mountaineering. With this personal anchor tether, we can securely and comfortably anchor ourselves, adjusting the length; mount the braking device to perform a rappel at the most convenient point of the set; or anchor ourselves to the wall at certain times during the climb, for example.
The Little Chain and Multi Chain anchor tether rings introduce four innovations:
Cinchless Technology
Both models have cinchless technology (patented by Fixe). It is a construction system that allows the multi chain strap to be attached to the two points of the harness (waist and legs) without strangling the whole assembly, in this way it works the same as the ventral ring, improving comfort during climbing and making the harness work correctly on the body in the event of a fall. The anchor line can also be placed with a conventional girth hitch system.
Finished seams
The side seams of the rings that make up both personal anchor tethers are finished off to prevent them from getting caught when carrying out manoeuvres in anchoring, with carabiners, etc.
Color Code
With the help of a color code, you can differentiate the ring that should be tied to the harness and the ring at the end of the chain from the rest of the set.
Combination of Materials
The combination of materials used significantly enhances its strength and durability. The central part of the tape, in black, is made of HMPE (high-modulus polyethylene), an extraordinarily lightweight material with high tensile strength. Both sides of the tape have been reinforced with a polyamide profile, distinguished by its color, known for its excellent resistance and lightness. This careful choice of materials optimizes performance, making it extremely lightweight and resistant to both tension and abrasion. Additionally, polyamide is also used in safety stitching.
