The Vignemale is one of the great icons of the Pyrenees. Its 3,299 meters make it the highest summit in the central chain of the Pyrenees. The atmosphere in its vicinity is very alpine, and its north face, 800 meters high, presents great challenges for ice climbing and wall enthusiasts.
