The Siurana

The Siurana is one of the most emblematic ropes in Fixe’s catalogue. Many sport climbers prefer it because of its versatility and performance. Its diameter falls in the middle of the preferred range for climbers of bolted single-pitch routes. It is defined by its strength and durability and it is ideal for on-sight climbing and for working on projects. It is also recommended for indoor climbing.

The Siurana goes hand-in-hand with routes like "La Rambla," "Kale Borroka," and "L Odi Social." These lines have turned the school in the Priorat region (Catalonia) into a world-class destination. Today, this climbing school has more than 2,000 bolted sport climbing routes. The crimp is the predominant grip in Siurana, and the climbing style is usually technical and demanding, with sequences that are often difficult to read on-sight.
