The Margalef

The Margalef is a tough rope, but light and easy to use at the same time. The Dry treatment of the sheath gives it extra protection against humidity and dust. It is a high-performance rope for on-sight climbing or for working on projects, with a diameter in the medium range of those commonly used for sport climbing. It is also recommended for indoor climbing.

The Margalef school, in the town of the same name, in the Priorat region (Catalonia), is one of the most frequently visited sport climbing areas in the world. Climbing there runs over a conglomerate dotted with monos and two-finger pockets and other grips where finger strength is usually key. It has routes bolted for all levels and is home to some of the most difficult sports lines in the world, such as "Perfecto Mundo" and iconic routes like "Era Vella" and "First Round First Minute".

8 Mark: marking system that uses a red mark to indicate that there are 8 meters left to reach the end of the rope.
Reflector: reflective indicator at both ends of the rope.
Ultrasonic cut: stiffens the rope ends and protects them from wear.
