IN DYNAMIC ROPES, THERE IS NO STANDARD TEST TO MEASURE SHRINKAGE BY WATER. IN SEMI-STATIC ROPES, SHRINKAGE IS INDICATED IN THE PRODUCT'S TECHNICAL DATA SHEET. ACCORDING TO CURRENT REGULATIONS (EN1891) TESTING, SHRINKAGE CANNOT EXCEED 5%.
THERE ARE STUDIES THAT SHOW THE NEGATIVE EFFECTS OF WATER ON THE PROPERTIES OF ROPE. THESE VALUES RANGE BETWEEN 30-50%. IT IS IMPORTANT TO AVOID USING WET ROPES OR USING ROPES IN ENVIRONMENTS WITH EXTREME HUMIDITY.
THE SHEATH AND THE CORE OF ALL THE ROPES (EXCEPT THOSE WITH UNION TECHNOLOGIES) ARE NOT JOINED. HOWEVER, UNDER SPECIFIC CONDITIONS, INTENSIVE USE OF ROPES CAN CAUSE THE SHEATH TO SLIP OFF THE CORE.
STORE THE ROPE IN A COOL, DRY PLACE.
IF CLEANING IS NECESSARY, USE SOFT BRUSHES AND LUKEWARM WATER. DO NOT USE CHEMICALS. DRY IN A SHADY, COOL AND DRY PLACE.

A DYNAMIC ROPE THAT, WHEN USED IN TANDEM AS PART OF THE SAFETY SYSTEM, IS CAPABLE OF BRAKING THE FALL OF THE LEADER OF THE CLIMBING PARTY. - TWIN ROPE:
A DYNAMIC ROPE THAT, WHEN USED IN TANDEM AND IN PARALLEL, AS PART OF THE SAFETY SYSTEM, IS CAPABLE OF BRAKING THE FALL OF A PERSON.
THE ROPES HAVE A USEFUL LIFE OF 10 YEARS FROM THE DATE OF MANUFACTURE SPECIFIED ON THE ROPE END LABELS. READ THE USER MANUAL FOR ADVICE ON USEFUL LIFE, INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE.
AVOID HUMIDITY, HEAT, DUST, MUD, ICE AND/OR EXTREME CONDITIONS AS THEY CAN NEGATIVELY AFFECT THE PERFORMANCE OF THE ROPE. CONTACT WITH CHEMICALS, EXCESS OF ULTRA-VIOLET RADIATION, SHARP OBJECTS (HOWEVER SMALL), IMPACTS AND UNSPECIFIED ADDITIONAL FACTORS CAN AFFECT THE PERFORMANCE OF THE ROPE.
IN CASE OF A SIGNIFICANT FALL OR DAMAGE DETAILED IN THE ILLUSTRATIONS OF THE USER MANUAL. IF YOU SUSPECT ANY DAMAGE, REMOVE IT ANYWAY.
THE FALL FACTOR IS THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE DISTANCE OF THE FALL AND THE AVAILABLE ROPE LENGTH. A HIGHER FALL FACTOR GENERATES A HIGHER SHOCK LOAD ON THE ROPE, SUBJECTING IT TO MORE WEAR. IT IS IMPORTANT TO CHECK THE CONDITION OF THE ROPE AFTER EACH USE OR AFTER A MAJOR FALL. READ THE USER MANUAL FOR ADVICE ON USEFUL LIFE, INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE.
ON WET GROUND, ICE OR SNOW, ROPES THAT DO NOT ABSORB WATER (FD) MUST BE USED.

THE MAIN DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A DYNAMIC ROPE AND A SEMI-STATIC ROPE LIES IN ITS ABILITY TO ABSORB ENERGY DURING A FALL.
